& Tobacco: Reality Check Strikes Again! is
phase two of a long-term youth-action project developed
by Reality Check to combat Hollywood’s practice
of putting smoking and tobacco products in movies.
- Hollywood
& Tobacco: Reality Check Strikes Again! long-term
goal is to have Hollywood agree to remove smoking and
tobacco products from all G, PG and PG-13 movies.
- Teens who watch their favorite
celebrities smoke are two and half times more likely to
pick up a cigarette them selves.
- There’s more smoking in
Hollywood movies in 2003 than at any time since 1950.
- Studies from Dartmouth Medical
School, American Legacy Foundation, Mass PIRG and many
more are the basis of this project. The studies can be
